Obituary

Virginia “Ginny” I. (Wrenne) Heavey, 87, of Medway died March 9 in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert “Bob” J. Heavey who died in January.
Born June 7, 1928, the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Mary Alice (Clewes) Wrenne, Mrs. Heavey had lived in Medway for many years.
Ginny graduated from Milford Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She greatly enjoyed a long career as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Ob-Gyn nursing at both Milford Hospital and Framingham Union Hospital. She also worked in public health nursing.
Following her marriage she assisted her husband Bob in the operation of the R.J. Heavy Plumbing Company in Walpole.
Ginny had taught ceramics, and loved to sew and cook. Above all Ginny loved being in the company of her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Robert J. Heavey, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Everett, Washington, Michael J. Heavey and his wife Martha of Medway and Catherine A. (Heavey) Bianchi of Medway
She is also survived by her sister Lillian Tartaglia of Shrewsbury and was the sister of the late Ernest Wrenne, Jr., James Wrenne, Raymond Wrenne, Joseph Wrenne, and Frances Kane and Mary Granger.
Ginny is also survived by her grandsons, Robert J. Heavey and Sean P. Bianchi and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 14 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4- 8 p.m.
