David A. Shaw, age 53 of Canton passed away March 9th at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Quincy, he was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School and was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. He previously lived in Billerica for 11 years before moving to Canton 10 years ago. He worked for many years for General Insulation in Malden. An avid Drum Corp enthusiast, David was a member of the Cavalier Drum Corp in Somerville for many years. He was a history buff who had a special interest and knowledge of WW II. David and his wife enjoyed many good times camping in the white mountains with their friends. Beloved husband of Lisa A. (Judge). Son of the late Elaine F. Shaw (Sharland). Brother of Elaine F. Smith and her husband Thomas of Plymouth, Linda A. Kipp and her husband David of Mansfield and Patricia A. Teebagy and her husband Kaser of Medford. Son in law of Sally A. Judge of Canton and the late John J. “Jack” Judge Jr. Loving uncle of Catherine Smith, Jennifer Smith, Harrison Kipp, Anthony Teebagy, Daniel Kipp and Lauren Teebagy. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 1-5 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Monday morning March 14th at 10:30.
