BELLINGHAM: Laura Ann (Petronio) Savage, 67, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 8, 2016 following a brief illness.
She was born in Framingham on December 21, 1948 the daughter of the late Gregory V. Petronio and Mary S. (Brown) Petronio.
Laura is survived by her devoted sons; Jarrod T. Savage of San Diego, CA and Brendon M. Savage and his wife Meghan C. (Bradley) Savage of Bellingham. Cherished grandmother of Andrew T. Savage and Avery E. Savage of Bellingham. Sister of Katherine Young of Framingham; Mary Kelsey of Mechanicsburg, PA; Linda Skrzat of Woonsocket, RI and the late Gregory Petronio, Jr. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Laura has resided in Bellingham since May of 2015 with her son Brendon and his family. She previously resided in Franklin and spent her formative years in Framingham and Wayland. Laura graduated from Framingham South High School with the Class of 1966. She began her career as a Customer Service Representative with the New England Telephone Co in Framingham and retired after over 25 years of dedicated service from Verizon. After her retirement, Laura enjoyed working part-time at the Best Cleaners in Franklin where she met many new friends.
Laura loved to spend time with her family and especially adored being with her grandchildren. She had a special fondness for animals caring for her dogs and cats over the years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Her funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:30 am.
Private family interment will be in the Petronio family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
