
Giacomo "Jack" Picozzi, Jr., 58, of Douglas Pike, Smithfield, died after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 9, 2015 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the husband of the late Debbie (Varin) Picozzi, who died April 8, 2014.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giacomo Picozzi, Sr. and Anna (DeRobbio) Picozzi. He was a longtime resident of Smithfield.
He was a truck driver for Cardi Corporation for 30 years. He played the drums, enjoyed watching car racing and loved karate.
He is survived by his sisters: Anna Picozzi of North Providence, Beverly Ann Barbosa of Cranston and Paula Picozzi-Lukas of Richmond, his nieces and nephews:Cassandra, Michael and Christopher Barbosa and Nathan Lukas.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield at 9:30am. Visitation Monday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be to American Cancer Society.
