96 passed peacefully on March 7, 2016 in Louisville, KY. Dwight Gahm is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years Anna Lee: two sons Gordy & Phil; daughter-in-law Patti, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Walt. Born in Portsmouth, OH on May 21, 1919, Dwight graduated from Male High and spent his teenage years caddying at Audubon CC and lifeguarding at Lakeside Swim Club where he met Anna Lee. He then graduated from Indiana University where he was a football All American center. After spending a single day on the campus of Harvard to pursue an M.B.A he thought it was the right time to return to Louisville and begin his business career. Thus, the births of Wee Wash, Kitchen Kompact & Valhalla Golf Club. Dwight would have wanted to tell all of his caregivers, friends, former & current employees, families of Kitchen Kompact and everyone ever connected with Valhalla Golf Club a few simple heartfelt words: Thank You.
