BARBER Beatrice A., (Monahan) of Jamaica Plain, March 5, 2016. Born July 3rd 1935 in Norwood, MA. Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Barber Jr. Loving daughter of the late Francis A. and Catherine (Leonard) Monahan both formerly of County Sligo, Ireland.
Graduate of Norwood High School class of 1953. She was Prom Queen her junior year of high school.
Retired operator for New England Telephone and Telegraph. Lifelong member of of the IBEW Local 2222.
Loved all animals and was involved in the MSPCA as a donor and occasional volunteer. She spoke often of her beloved pets especially a pair of one black and one white cats she called “Percy” & “Tuffy”. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Beatrice's memory to the MSPCA, 350 S Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
