Rose Catherine (Langevin) Turmel, age 83 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 4, 2016. Rose was born in Lawrence to the late John and Katherine (Stanley) Langevin on July 22, 1932. She loved watching soap operas and playing Bingo and going out to dinner. Many times, Rose would play Bingo at the Nevins Manor. Rose loved her family dearly and her cats, especially Oreo. Rose was a nursing school graduate and served many with her occupation in home care. Rose also spent many days babysitting the neighborhood children which she very much enjoyed. Rose devoted her time to assist in raising her three grandchildren. Rose raised her two boys in Lawrence, Ma where they would often go on long walks around the town as well as many family trips to sports games, swimming and amusement parks. Rose was a beautiful giving person who had worked hard to care for her family in which she adored. Rose was a selfless woman always putting everyone else above herself.
Rose was the loving mother of Rob Turmel of Methuen and Will Tracy and his wife Natalicia of Quincy. She was the dear sister of Marilyn Laumann of CA, Diane Harrison of OR, the late John Langevin and the late Richard Langevin. More than anything, her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren, Will Tracy and his wife Kristine, Migdalia Tracy and Matthew Tracy. She was the cherished great grandmother of Kamrynn Pastorello and Michael Pastorello. Rose is also very close with her loving former daughter in law, Paula Colon. Rose is also survived by members of the Feole family who are very special to her.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish of Methuen. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Lawrence.
