Marilyn R. Donnelly, 85, a resident of Methuen, Mass., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 29, 2016, at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, Mass., Marilyn was a graduate of St. Rita's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School. She had worked at Raytheon for some 30 years and prior to that had worked for Domino Sugar. Marilyn had served in the United States Navy as part of the Waves during the Korean Conflict. She enjoyed vacationing at Salisbury Beach.
The daughter of the late Francis H. and Estelle B. (DeForge) Donnelly as well as the adoptive parent of the late Harley D. Kaiser, members of Marilyn's family include two sisters, Olive E. Kasouf and Eleanor A. Ruffen both of Methuen; as well as one niece, one nephew, and several cousins. Marilyn was sister to the late Francis T. Donnelly, Estelle E. Emmott, and Patricia K. Clarke.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016, at 11 a.m., at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA. Family and friends may call on Friday morning prior to the services from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
