Margaret (O’Brien) Gagne, 90, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 31, 1925 in Manchester to Mary (Debski) O’Brien and James O’Brien.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by International Shoe, Bee Bee Shoe and Prevue Products as a keypunch operator. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
She was pre deceased by her husband Fernand Gagne.
She leaves behind her three children, Richard Gagne and his wife Patricia of Manchester, Thomas Gagne of Manchester and Debra (Gagne) Edwards and her husband Larry of Hooksett; one grandson Nate Gagne and his wife Nicole; a brother Frank O’Brien; a sister-in-law, Georgette Gagne; her best friend of 73 years, Gert Uhry, with whom she roomed with at Hillsborough County Nursing Home.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm in the J.N. Boufford Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, 145 Lowell St. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford. Donations in Margaret’s name may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester NH 03104.
