Joseph J. Reardon Jr. age 89 of Methuen, MA, died Saturday at the Nevins Nursing Home, Methuen, MA.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and was educated, and graduated from Lawrence High School. He was a resident of Methuen for the past 48 years.
Joe was a retired installer and repairman for New England Telephone. He was a US Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. He enjoyed thoroughbred racing at Rockingham Park, Saratoga, and Belmont. Most of All Joe enjoyed spending time with his family.
Joe was predeceased by his wife Phyllis (Weatherwax) Reardon, who passed away November 5, 1992. He was also predeceased by his sister Margaret A. Kallery.
He is survived by his daughters: Joanna Britton of Manchester, NH, Mary and her husband William Steed of Raymond, NH, and Pamela and her husband Albert Dubois of Hampstead, NH
His sister: Maureen T. and her husband James Reynolds of Milton, MA
His brother: Frank E. and his wife Ann Reardon of Atkinson, NH
Grandchildren: Billy, Emma, Richie, Christina, Alicia, and Jenny

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 11th at 11 AM at St. Monica’s Church, Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 10th from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA.
