BUXTON- “Danny” Daniel Vincent Swasey, age 56, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 6, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Portland, Maine on Feb. 16, 1960, a son of Everett and Ruth (Fletcher) Swasey.
Danny is a Bonny Eagle High School graduate who went on to work as a self employed carpenter and was known for his woodwork craftsmanship.
He was an antique motorcycle and music enthusiast, an avid gardener, animal lover, an avid reader, and enjoyed cooking.
He was a member of the Eagles in Portland.
He is survived by his children- Danielle, Dayle, and Dana Swasey of Steep Falls; parents- Everett and Ruth Swasey of Hollis; former wife- Kathy Walker; brothers- Everett Swasey and his wife Ann-Marie of Hollis, Paul Swasey and his wife Lorraine of Hollis, David Swasey and his wife Jodi of Oxford, and Brad Swasey and his wife Michelle of Hollis; sisters- Theresa Havu and her husband Bill of Buxton, Joan Swasey of Waterboro and her companion Rodney, and Vickie Spiess and her husband Peter of MA; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, March 11, from 3 – 5 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton.
