Hudson, MA
Helena S. Freitas, 99 years old, of Hudson, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 5, 2016. She was married to José Maria Freitas who died in 1990 and born in Santa Maria, Azores, along with her late brothers and sisters José, Antonio, Manuel, João, Francisco, Sister Maria Leandres and Filomena Cabral.
She is survived by her brother Luis Leandres of Hudson.
She is a loving source of inspiration to her nieces and nephews: Liana Blair, Gervasia Fernandes, Helena Resendes, Maria Isabel Fernandes, Maria Figueiredo, Maria Carmo Freitas, José and Gervasio Leandres all of Hudson.
Also, Antonio Leandres of Santa Maria, Maria Geismar, Inez Cavaliere, Antonio, José and Antonio Leandres of CT, Angelina Batista of Taunton and Susan Cabral of Clearwater, FL.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Saturday, March 12th from 7:00 to 8:45 a.m. at the Tighe-¬Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com) prior to the mass.
