Doherty, Catherine C. (Walsh) of Weston, MA died peacefully on March 4, in her centennial year of life. Beloved wife of the late Joseph I. Doherty, devoted mother of Brian Doherty (Lydia) of Weston, MA, Marianne Campbell (John) of New Canaan, CT, Michael Doherty (Laura) of Wellesley, MA, Kathleen Doherty of Acton, MA, John Doherty (Thea) of Holden, MA and Jane Cassidy (Reid) of Swampscott, MA. She was the joyful grandmother of Brighid, Megan, Patrick, Kathryn, Jeffrey, Brendan, Jackie, Megann, Ainsley, Connor, Erin and Colbie; and great grandmother of Charlotte, Ollie, Isla Rose and Winnie.
“Auntie Kay” was the loving sister of the late Mary King of Jamaica Plain, and the late Ann Doherty of Peabody, and the loving and beloved Aunt of many nieces and nephews. The family gives heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jeanne Richard for her extraordinarily kind and attentive care.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10th from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at The George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16) Wellesley, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Julia’s Church in Weston, where Catherine assisted devoutly in many parish missions.
