Joseph F. Gould
U.S. Air Force Veteran

TEWKSBURY:Joseph F. Gould, age 83, a resident of Tewksbury for 48 years, formerly of Charlestown, passed away at home on Thursday, March 3, 2016.
He was the beloved husband of Lucy A. (Campbell) Gould, with whom he would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on April 8, 2016.
Born in Boston on May 26, 1932, he was one of nine children of the late Thomas and Bridget (Gorman) Gould.
Joe was raised in Charlestown and attended Charlestown schools.
In 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his active duty service.
Joe was employed by the Holt & Bugbee Lumber Company in Charlestown and Tewksbury until his retirement.
He was a member of the Malden Irish American Club and the Charlestown American Legion.
Joe enjoyed a passion for carpentry, woodworking, cabinet construction, and home remodeling projects.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by two children, Pamela M. Farren and her husband Sean of Worcester and Joseph T. Gould and his girlfriend Karen Lojek of Tewksbury; his grandson, Christian Farren of Worcester; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Joe was the brother of the late Mary Whalen, John, Thomas, Arthur, Edward, Robert, William, and Barbara Gould.
Calling hours are Monday, March 7th, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8th, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence, MA 01843
