Mary Nell Amerson, 88, of Cordele, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Amerson was born August 28, 1927 in Warwick, Georgia. She was a homemaker and a hard-working mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children and their spouses: Robert Lee Amerson of Pitts, Mary Frances Grimes of Tifton, Arthur Lee Amerson of Pitts, Jimmy Lee & Barbara Amerson of Fitzgerald, Claudia & James price of Jacksonville, Florida, David Allen & Mary Amerson of Cordele, Charles Edward Amerson of Cordele, Gertrude & Tony Ford of Jasper, Florida, Gregory Allen & Tammy Amerson of Pitts, Joyce Marie Bell of Calhoun, Billy Ray & Teresa Amerson of Burkeville, Kentucky, and Sarah Elizabeth Amerson of Jasper, Florida; 37 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Amerson.
