Dorothy G. McAllister, age 89, died, peacefully, on Tuesday April 30, 2002. She was born in Charlestown, on March 7, 1913 to the late Edgar and Mary (Smith) Murphy. She was a former member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She played the organ for the Junior Choir at the Trinity Church and at the Wesley United Methodist Church for over 25 years. Survivors include her husband of 67 years: John T. McAllister, Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law: Jack and Tommie McAllister of Griffin, Georgia, Donald and Joyce McAllister of Peabody; grandchildren: Jill and Charlie Driggers of Griffin, Georgia, Scott McAllister of Peabody, Erin McAllister of Peabody; great-grandchildren: Zachary and Danielle Driggers of Griffin, Georgia. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, on Friday from 4-8 PM. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford.
