Pauline Jeanine Wolfe passed away peacefully in Ventura, CA on March 2, 2016 at 6:56pm, at the age of 100. Born in Sheffield, PA on February 2, 1916 to Frederick and Anastasia Ziki. In 1950 she met Sgt. Donovan Wolfe, where she worked, at Bell Aircraft in Niagara Falls, NY. 65 years ago on November 24, 1955 they married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in FL. Their military career took them to many places across the globe, from assignments in Japan, Germany, TX, FL, Washington DC and George AFB in CA. Moving to Ventura in 1965, she worked for the Ventura School District, in retail and at the County Assessor’s Office. After retirement, they travelled together to many places including Las Vegas, Canada’s Butchart Gardens, Hawaii and even Maine to watch the fall color changes. One of her favorites was home, walking the beach in Ventura for sunrise and sunset. In the end she was surrounded by all of her loving family at the Ventura Convalescent Hospital where she was cared for with such tenderness and compassion. Pauline was an active parishioner at Assumption Catholic Church and hours before passing Father Leon Hutton blessed her with the sacrament of Last Rites. Pauline’s quick wit and zest for life was an inspiration to many around the world and she will be missed by all. Pauline is survived by children: Michael Fisk, Gregory Wolfe & Christina Wolfe. Grandchildren: Jacqueline Glazer, Cynthia Breth, Lindsay Wolfe, Patrick Wolfe, Matthew Wolfe, Aaron Szabo & Crista Scott.
