John K. “Jack” Lanigan age 66 passed away suddenly March 2nd at the Norwood Hospital. Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and Milton. Jack was a graduate of B.C. High, Boston College and went on to receive his Masters from Boston State Teachers College. He was a teacher in the Milton Public Schools for over 39 years before retiring in 2010. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and especially enjoyed attending his grandson Jack’s sporting events. He also enjoyed fishing and going to Twin River and Foxwoods. Beloved husband of Gena M. (Bearse). Father of Michelle C. Lanigan and her husband Scott Lobdell of Nashua, NH, Sean M. Lanigan and his wife Cami Hennekens of Beverly and Kara M. Lanigan of Newton. Brother of Jeanne M. Noyes of Harwichport and Jupiter, FL and Janet M. Lanigan of Plymouth. Proud grandfather of Jack Lobdell. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 2-6 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Monday morning at 10:30. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
