Obituary

George A. Giguere, Jr., 56 of Westport died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at home. He was the loving companion of Diane (Baraby) Moniz.
Born and raised in Woonsocket, RI, son of George A. and Jeanne E. (Hebert) Giguere of Woonsocket, he had lived in Westport since 2006. A veteran of Operation Desert Storm, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport where he also worked. Mr. Giguere was a member of the V.F.W. Ouellette Post 8502 of Westport and he enjoyed football, fishing and NASCAR Racing. He was a loving Papa to Julian and Lacey, whom he loved spending time with.
Including his parents and companion, he is survived by a son: Dylan J. Giguere of Durant, OK; 2 step-sons: Thomas Moniz and Keith Moniz, both of Westport; a brother: Gerard A. Giguere of Woonsocket; 3 sisters: Dianne J. Lanctot of Woonsocket, Claire Lanctot of Woonsocket and Elaine C. Sollecito of Cumberland, RI; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, March 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
