Quincy - Madelyn T. (Quinn) Wallace, age 92, of Quincy passed away peacefully in her loving family’s company in Gilford, NH on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Most recently a resident of Laconia, NH, she was formerly resided in Quincy for many years. Mrs. Wallace was a graduate of the Mary Francis Rooney School of Elocution and a proud Navy veteran of WW II. A loving & supportive wife, mother & grandmother, she was happiest in the company of her family celebrating holidays & special family events. The beloved wife of the late George L. Wallace, she was the devoted mother of Christine Metz & her husband Dick of NH, Bobbie Nardone & her husband Ed of Quincy, Carole Tyrrell & her husband Eugene of NH, Jennifer McGillicuddy & her husband Jeff of Quincy and the late Jeffrey B. Wallace & George L. Wallace, Jr. She was the loving mother-in-law of MaryAnn Wallace of Quincy, grandmother of 11 cherished grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren and dear sister of the late Dorothy Denniston & Marion Clancy. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 550 Washington St., Quincy, Monday at 11 am. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, 9:00 to 10:30am, prior to Mass. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it was Madelyn’s wish to have donations to the American Cancer Society 9 Riverside Rd Weston, MA 02493 in loving memory of her late husband and son.
