Obituary

DRISCOLL, Timothy J. Of Dedham formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Breda (Donoghue) Driscoll with whom he spent 47 loving years of marriage. Tim was born in County Cork, Ireland on November 28, 1928, the beloved son of Timothy J. and Margaret (Crowley) Driscoll. Tim emigrated to the United States in the early 1950’s. With hard work and skill, he founded the Metropolitan Fence Corporation and was successful for over 25 years. Tim loved many things in life including: his family, a day’s labor, and the hills, fields, and farms of his beloved Ireland. He took great joy in loving his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by five children: Margaret Driscoll Conole and her husband David, and Kathleen Driscoll all of Dedham, Timothy Driscoll and his wife Jasmine of Westwood, John Driscoll of Stamford CT, and Robert Driscoll and his wife Christine of Franklin, and three grandchildren: Kelly, Damian, and Hannah Driscoll. Tim was predeceased by his daughter, Maura, and five siblings: Nicholas Driscoll, Robert Driscoll, Nora Driscoll, Sister Damian Driscoll, and Catherine “Kit” Driscoll.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Saturday, Mar. 5 at 10:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home, Friday, Mar. 4 from 4:00-7:00pm. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
