Ralph A. Leone, 76, of Manchester, NH, passed away Tuesday March 1, 2016 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. He was born on June 16, 1939 in New York City, NY, a son of the late Nicholas and Marie (Defeis) Leone. He had been a resident of Manchester since 2002, formerly living in E. Derry, NH. Ralph was employed by the Town of Derry Highway Department for many years. He was also a handcrafted jeweler and silversmith. Ralph was a lifetime member of the NRA.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marian (Lauchaire) Leone of Manchester, four children, Regina Leone of New York City, NY, Ralph Leone, Jr. of NH, Jarrett Leone of Asheville, NC and Michele’ Dilger-Horne and her husband Slade of Fredricksburg, VA; seven grandchildren, Rachel Estey & Cora Chisolm of CT, Rebecca Estey-O'Reilly and her husband Christopher of TX, Heather Estey of VA, Nicholas Estey of TX, Kristin Horne, of VA; three great grandchildren, Sage and Storm O'Reilly of TX, and Kaylee Kirsh of VA, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was especially close to his cousin Nicholas Defeis who passed away two days before him in Fla. and Marian's sister Janet Brennan of NYC.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Friday, March 4th from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710.
