DORCHESTER – Melody J. (Jacinto) Hampe, wife of Erich Hampe and the late Joe Wirth, died unexpectedly at her Dorchester home on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016.
She was 59.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Rose) Jacinto.
Melody was raised and educated in Taunton and later worked as a hairdresser for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was known for her wonderful recipes and cooking skills.
Survivors include five sons, Joseph Wirth of Englewood, TN, Joshua Wirth of Athens, TN, Jonathan Laughlin of Dorchester, Aaron J. Jacinto of New Bedford and Nicholas Hampe of Taunton; a daughter, Erika Carter of Lincoln, RI; a brother, Joseph “Aaron” Jacinto of New Bedford; two sisters, Cheryl Laughlin of Concord, NH and Holly Carter of Abington; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Rebecca Jacinto.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, March 4th from 5 to 7 pm.
