Thelma Jane Wood Nolan, 87, of Fleming Island, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by her family. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 22016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mrs. Nolan will be laid to rest at Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born September 14, 1928 in Garza, Texas, Mrs. Nolan was the daughter of the late Jesse Wood and Eva Davis Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Nolan. Mrs. Nolan was a member of Fleming Island Presbyterian Church and enjoyed nature, especially flowers and birds. She dearly loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Nolan is survived by her children and their spouses, Jimmy and Donna Nolan, Myrna Nolan and Kathryn and Michael Loader; sister, Jacqueline Lane; grandchildren and their spouses, Laura and Scott Sabo, Amy and Drew Kerns, Jennifer and Caleb Holman, Aaron and Sarah Duncan, Sonya Moore, Brandy and Larry Snider and Kevin Nolan; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Jordan, Payten, Austin, Norah, Ambur, Jayde, Wyatt, Roy, Teresa, Kody, Aerial, Lyric, Amethyst and Zoe; and great-great-granddaughter, Joy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs, 1107 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
