Paul A. Cloutier, 79, of Woonsocket died Monday at Landmark Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Jeanne T. (Archambault) Cloutier. They were married on July 25, 1964.
Born and raised in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Armand and Irene (Marquis) Cloutier. He resided Wrentham for over 30 years before returning to Woonsocket.
Paul was employed at P&R Machine Shop for the past 10 years. He previously worked for the Avery Dennison Corp. in Milford for over 40 years. Paul also worked at Papa Ginos in Franklin where he was affectionately known as “Mr. C”. He also was a seasonal worker at Cooks Valley Farm in Wrentham.
Paul was a member of the Cercle Laurier. He was an avid shuffleboard player and loved a number of outdoor activities including fishing, gardening and enjoying nature in general. Paul was a staunch Red Sox and Patriots fan and liked to tune into country and oldies music.
Paul will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather and a friendly and outgoing person.
In addition to his wife of 51 years he is survived by two sons Edward Cloutier and his wife, Candice, of Woonsocket and Steven Cloutier and his wife, Denise, of Illinois. He was the father of the late Robert E. Cloutier and Paula Jeanne Cloutier. He was the father-in-law of Tina L. Cloutier of AZ and brother of Rene Cloutier of Worcester, Rev. Roland C. Cloutier of CT, Olive Turcotte and Jeanne Samur both of Woonsocket and the late Joseph Robert “Bobby” Cloutier and Lillian Plante. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brian, Erin, Ellen, Marissa, Justin and Kyle and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Xander and many nieces and nephews and their families. He was the grandfather of the late Grace Renee Cloutier.
His funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Saturday from 9-11 am prior to services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O.
