Obituary

PALTRINERI, Eugene A. Of Venice, FL and Sandwich, formerly of Wellesley, died February 12, 2016. He was the husband of the late Betty Keating Paltrineri and most recently the late Elenora Dale Paltrineri. He loved fishing, boating, and golfing and the friendships he made through doing the things he loved. He was a happy man at the end of his life and died peacefully surrounded by his family. Eugene was a long term resident of Wellesley and a 1949 graduate of Wellesley High School. He served as a morse code specialist in Alaska during The Korean War. After earning his degree at Boston University he worked for John Hancock Insurance. Later he received his graduate degree in Education and retired from The Weston Public Schools after twenty years of teaching fourth grade, a career that he loved. He is survived by his sister Joan and spouse Karen, and his four children, Susan Paltrineri Sibley and husband Peter, Linda, David and wife Jodi, Thomas and wife Grace. He was grandfather to Ashley, Matthew, Meghan, Danielle, Mia, Christopher and Julia and great-grandfather to Presley Anne.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16), WELLESLEY, Saturday, March 12 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home, Friday, March 11 from 4-7pm. Burial will be on May 9 at 1pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Eugene's memory to the United Way, 17831 Murdock Cir., Port Charlotte, FL 33948.
