James P. "Jim" Tracy, a resident of Malden and formerly of Charlestown entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at his home in Malden following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 70 years old.
Jim was born in Boston on January 2, 1946, a son of the late Frederick L. Tracy and Alice R. (Grennan) Tracy. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Jim enlisted into the United States Marine Corps on November 12, 1965 and served his country faithfully and with courage during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged on November 11, 1967 with the rank of Lance Corporal. Jim worked for many years as a Clerk with the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and The Halligan Club.
Jim is the devoted father of Jim Tracy and his wife Pamela and the late Sean Tracy. He is the loving Grandfather of 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is the beloved brother of Frederick "Bubby" Tracy, Mike Tracy, Arthur Tracy, Alice Spinney and the late Judy Foley, Dick Tracy and Joe Tracy. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jim's Funeral Services and burial were held privately.
