Max Edward Whisler
May 10, 1946-February 28, 2016


Former Indiana resident Max Edward Whisler, 69, died peacefully in his sleep on February 28, 2016 in Marietta, GA after a lengthy illness.

Max was born May 10, 1946 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Harry Edward Whisler and Eloise (Poore) Whisler. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1964 and enlisted in the United States Army.

After returning home from the service, he obtained an Interdisciplinary Engineering Degree from Purdue University and subsequently worked for many years in the power generation industry at Westinghouse, General Electric and Siemens. He travelled around the world in his job as a field service engineer.

Max was an intelligent man who enjoyed technology, anything mechanical, and "fixing things." He had a great sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with his many friends throughout the years.

Max is survived by his devoted wife Judith, of Dallas, GA. He was a loving father to Robert Ealy, of Terre Haute, IN and Cara Rojo, of Palm Desert, CA. and step children, David Whaley and Heather Eldridge. He was also the proud grandfather of Madison Ealy, Carson Ealy, Reagan Ealy, Carlee Eldredge , Rylee Eldredge, Heidi Whaley, and Calista Rojo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4-7 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service . Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10: 00 AM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor John Hackney. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
