Obituary

Philomene Louisjuste, age 85, of Attleboro died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Blue Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joseph Douesius. A daughter of the late Elvius Louisjuste and Elonise Dorce, Philomene was born and raised in Cabaret, Haiti and came to the Boston area in 1999.

When living in Cabaret, Philomene raised food crops on a farm which she owned and operated. She was a very hard working woman who was also very smart and resourceful. She had a great sense of humor.

In her free time she loved to sing, always had a smile on her face and made people happy.

She was the mother of Jacqueline Synal of Florida, Solange Dorcin of Florida, Kettlie DaSilva of Attleboro, Wilson Douesius of Brazil, Joseph Louis of Brockton and the late Marie Yolenne and Gerda Douesius. She leaves 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was the sister of Yvette Louisjuste of Cabaret, Haiti.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Saturday, March 5, from 8:30- 9:30am with a Service at 9:30am. Burial in North Purchase Cemetery in Attleboro, followed by a collation at 887 South Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
