Obituary

Ralph “Hoke” Richardson, 82, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016, one week shy of his 83rd birthday. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Rita Richardson, and his son, Brian A. Richardson. He is survived by his daughter, Karen L. Richardson, and his two brothers, Keith Richardson and R. Michael Richardson.
A native of Louisville, Ralph was a graduate from Flaget High School and was a Navy veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was retired from Englehard Corporation, formerly Harshaw Chemical Company.
Ralph was an active member and parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW.
The celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., Louisville, KY with a service being held at 5:00 pm.
To the dedicated nurses and staff at Baptist Health Park Tower Oncology Unit, Karen would like to express her heartfelt gratitude for Ralph’s excellent care. Special thanks to Nita, Almost Family and to all our family and friends for their unfailing prayers, help and support.
