Louis L. Collis
December 23, 1927- February 27, 2016

Louis L. Collis, 88, of Anderson, left this earth to be with Jesus for eternity on Saturday, February 27, 2016, after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born on December 23, 1927 in Alexandria, the son of Luther and Grace (Mohler)) Collis. He lived in Alexandria and Anderson all of his life. He served in the US Army from 1946-48 and was employed by Delco Remy Division of General Motors for over 50 years. He was a member of the VFW266 and American Legion Post 127. He worked in his early years for Rozelle Funeral Home on 8th Street.

He was a beloved brother, uncle and friend who always had kind words for those around him.

He is survived by his sister, Annabelle Eubanks, brother Shirell Collis; nieces and nephews Shawn and Todd Parker, Kevin and Barb Eubanks, John and Tammy Collis, Mary Ann Stewart, Charles Collis, Terry Collis; great nieces and nephews, Ginger and Mike Evans, Rachel and Ron Koscelek, Chad & Natalie Eubanks, Heidi Miller; great great nieces & nephews, Tyler Knotts, Austin Castor, Dawson Evans, Irelynd Evans, Zach Miller, Emily Eubanks, Ashley Eubanks, Sienna Koscelek, Paris Koscelek; and a great great great nephew, Jaxon Knotts.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Collis and Garland Collis.

Funeral services will be held on March 2, 2016 at noon at the East Maplewood Cemetery Chapel. Family will greet friends from 11 to noon at the Chapel. Entombment will follow the service. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard.
