Herbert F. Allen, Jr., 69, of Brockton, passed way in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, after a brief illness. He was the husband of 41 years to Patricia (Allegra) Allen.
Herbert was born and brought up in Brockton, son of the late Herbert and Latica (Horton) Allen, Sr. and a graduate of Brockton High School.
He has been a lifelong resident of Brockton. Herbert worked as a Manager for Wrentham Company for over 20 years.
He was a collector of Coke a Cola memorabilia, Indian statues and model cars.
In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by his children, Laura Coad and her companion Robert Ramsey of Brockton, Christopher Donahue Of TX, Stephanie Dineen and her husband Tim of TN, Tina Allen and her companion, John Cappuccio of Hanover and Richard Donahue of TX, his grandchildren, Sarabeth, Richard, Jeffrey, Amanda, Emily, Lillian and Michael, his great grandchildren Antonio and Keino; also several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Fred Allen, Lillian Graf and Linda Joy.
His funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 2 at 7:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to his service from 4:00-7:00PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 1324 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301
