Smallwood, John E., 79, passed away February 23, 2016 in Louisville.
He was born to Steven and Dallas (Fentress) Smallwood.
John was a Scientist with B.F. Goodrich, where he retired, and was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn (Barnes) Smallwood; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Bobby and Glen Smallwood.
John is survived by his children: Vickie Whitfill, Robin Thompson, Betty Smith, Terri Smallwood, David Smallwood, and Sherri Horner (Ed); 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother: Boyd Rolland Smallwood (Diane).
Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Thursday March 2, at 11:00 AM, Visitation only, Wednesday from 2:00-6:00PM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
