Perry Eason, 64, of Wilcox County, died Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Fitzgerald Church of God with the Rev. Dewain Joiner and the Rev. Danny Gay officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Eason was born December 20, 1951, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late James Perry & Marie Oliver Eason. A 1969 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, Mr. Eason was a hard worker all of his life, planning to retire next month. He was a supervisor for American Blanching. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Perry was a devoted husband and loved his family dearly. A member of the Fitzgerald Church of God, Mr. Eason was a devout Christian and spent many hours in prayer for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Debbie Stafford Eason of Wilcox County; children and their spouses: Jody & Joe Vanden Bosch of Leesburg, Misty & David Fish of Fitzgerald, Joye & Carlos Bell of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Wrena & Jon Almon of Lakeland, Florida; nine grandchildren; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Pat & Anita Stafford of Fitzgerald; sisters-in-law: Sharon & Tony Eckler of Fitzgerald and Beth & Ralph Renschler of Orlando, Florida; brother-in-law, Bill & Michelle Stafford of Ft. Myers, Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.
