Obituary

Donald R. Langevin, 88, of Berlin, passed away on Sunday February 28, 2016 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was born in Berlin on January 27, 1928 the son of Adelard J. and Eva D. (Letellier) Langevin and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and owned and operated Don Langevin and Son Plumbing and Heating and had also been employed at the local paper mill for 43 years, retiring in 1987. Donald was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the Ryan-Scammon Post #36 American Legion and the VFW Post #2520.

Family includes his children Louise L. Lindsay and husband Harley of Virginia Beach, VA and Robert Langevin and wife Christine of Berlin, NH; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and another on the way; sisters Rita Gagnon of Berlin, NH, Helen Ramsey of Upton, MA, Margaret Pettingill of Kingston, NH and Therese Gillespie of S. Portland, ME; brother Norman Langevin of Berlin, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Rhea (Labonte) Langevin and siblings Jeannette Tobin, Pauline Damon, Irene Marsh and Raymond Langevin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 3 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
