Obituary

Joseph Michaud, 76, of Fairhaven died Wednesday June 22, 2005 at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Jo Michaud.

Born in Fall River, the son of the late Joseph and Eva (Carpentier) Michaud, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life before moving to Fairhaven ten years ago.

He was the president and founder of Arjay National Corp. in New Bedford.

Mr. Michaud served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the Military Police. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 73, and a member and director of the Sixth Bristol Club.

He loved listening to the music of Frank Sinatra and watching the New York Yankees.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Atty. Joseph L. Michaud and Matthew H. Michaud, both of Dartmouth, Daniel A. Michaud of New Bedford, and Brian Perkins of Lebanon, Ohio; a daughter, Kimberly Jo Dias of Dartmouth; and ten grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Joseph Michaud and Lucille Cote.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Saturday June 25, 2005 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Friday June 24, 2005 from 4-8 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Nurse & Hospice Care, P.O. Box 831, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
