Worcester: Betty J. (Pyche) Forsell, 86, passed away on February 27th in Knollwood Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family. She leaves 2 daughters -Nancy M. Fickle and her husband David of North Carolina and Susan J. Scales and her husband Robert of West Boylston; four grandchildren- Jennifer Hawkins of NC, Dean Stilke of NC, Matthew Scales of West Boylston, and Shelley Ingalls of Spencer; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers-Clayton Pyche of MN and Roland Pyche, Jr. of West Boylston; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Arthur H. Forsell and two sisters- Ruth Chamberlain and Muriel Schedin.
Betty was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Roland and Bertha (Sieswerda) Pyche. She graduated from Commerce High School and worked for many years as a clerk for several insurance agencies. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Vasa Order, SAC Park, Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling, reading, knitting, doing needlework and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on March 1st at 2:00pm in the West Boylston room at Briarwood. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. Nordgren Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to the Briarwood Residents Assistance Fund, 65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester, MA 01606.
