HOLLIS/Bar Mills- Judith Marlene Emmons, age 75 of Bar Mills Road, passed away on Feb. 27, 2016 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
She was born in Hollis on Nov. 1, 1940, a daughter of the late Chester and Eletha (Harmon) Meserve.
After graduating from Hollis schools, Judy went on to raise her family and to work at National Semiconductor.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, hunting and fishing, and camping.
Judy is predeceased by her husband- Francis R. Emmons; siblings- Clarence “Bud” Meserve, Howard “Huggy” Meserve, Evelyn “Pink” Berry, Lawrence Meserve and Melba Ackley.
She is survived by her children- Rodney Berry of FL, Shane Berry of Hollis, Jeffery Berry of Waterboro, David Berry of Biddeford, Timothy Berry of FL, Lisa Terroni of Hollis and Lori Robertson of Hollis; stepchildren- Lyn Thurlow of Scarborough, Glen Emmons of Newfield, Kevin Emmons of Hollis, and David Emmons of Hollis; siblings- Alton “Whitey” Meserve of Hollis, June Emmons of Waterboro, Charlene Patch of Hollis, Ruth Harmon of Hollis, and Helen Goodrow of Saco; 16 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11 AM on Thursday March 3, at the Hollis Center Baptist Church, Rt. 202, Hollis. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the church. Burial will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Hollis.
