William J. Breach, 73

Dateline: Norton, MA

William J. Breach, age 73, of Norton passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Maples Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Wrentham. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Bremilst) Breach to whom he was wed for nearly fifty years.
Born in Brockton, MA on August 22, 1942, he was a loving son of the late Alfred and Violet (Matthew) Breach.
Bill grew up in Dedham and was a graduate of Dedham High School. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Naval Air Reserves where he received his education in welding.
Mr. Breach was a retired machinist and prior to retirement had worked for nearly forty years at the former Texas Instruments in Attleboro. He also had worked as a tow truck driver for Freeman’s Garage in Norton and for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Bill’s passion in life was fishing. He was affiliated with the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society, where he served as a former public relations director and received national recognition. He was also a lifetime member of the Tri-County Bass Masters.
Bill’s pride and joy was volunteering for Handi-Kids fishing events and the Paralyzed Veterans of America. He made his home in Norton for the past 44 years and enjoyed woodworking and mechanics, and when younger had raced at the former Norwood Arena.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children Matthew T. Breach and his wife Tracy of Douglas and April M. Breach of Medway. He was the dear brother of Barbara Dauphinee of Pennsylvania and Carol Bercury of Brockton. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter Emma and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will be at a later date at the Cedar Knoll Cemetery in Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 1st from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
