Danovich, Margaret M. (Gillis) of Dedham and New Castle, DE passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the age of 72.
Peggy, as she was known to friends and family alike, was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 21, 1943 to the late Edward J. and Ethel M. Gillis of Dedham. A devout Catholic, Peggy prayed the Rosary every day without fail and attended Mass whenever she could.
Peggy graduated from Dedham High School in 1962. Years later, she married Walter A. Danovich (1942-2004) of Norwood and New Castle, DE. She was the loving mother of three cherished sons: Kevin A. Danovich and his wife Emily of Chesapeake, VA, Jeffrey A. Danovich of Rosedale, MD, and Dennis A. Danovich of Wilmington, DE. In addition to her three boys whom she held so dearly, Peggy leaves behind her siblings, John E. Gillis and his wife Ann of Stoughton, William J. Gillis and his wife Mary of Walpole, Albert E. Gillis and his wife Donna of Roslindale, the late Stephen A. Gillis of Walpole, and Carol M. Ludwig of Whitman, her sister-in-law, Nancy Murphy of Walpole, her seven adored grandchildren: Olivia, Gabrielah, Jessica, Rose, Megan, Jonathan, and Christopher, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Friday, Mar. 4 at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne Church, Readville at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday, Mar. 3 from 4:00-7:00pm. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
