Lois Nelson Schultz of Ojai, passed away on Thursday February 25, 2016 with her loving son at her side.
Lois was born August 8, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois but was always a Californian at heart and lived in the Ojai Valley for the past 35 years. She attended the University of Colorado and was a member of the Tri-Delta Sorority. In the late 1960's she held organize the San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra, working with famed composer, Elmer Bernstein.
Lois and her husband of 65 years, Frederick, attended Ojai Presybyterian Church. Lois loved the arts, played the piano, and the organ, sang in the Church choir, and composed and produced a children's tape of christian stories and songs. She joins her beloved Fred in eternal life.
Lois is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Van and Susan Schultz; grandson Stephen and his wife Deesha; granddaughter Jennifer and her husband Matthew Holloway; great granddaughter Evelyn.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral service Thursday March 3, 2016 at 1pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Interment will follow immediately in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
