In Yarmouth, February 25, 2016 Lawrence E. “Rebel” Durham, Age 74, passed away in the Windsor Skilled Nursing Home in Yarmouth. Lawrence was the husband of the late Nancy Jean (Fonseca) Durham and also Lila (Norris) Durham of RI. He was born in Fredonia, Kansas, the son of the late Everett & Velma (Fiscus) Durham. Lawrence had resided most of his life in Taunton. He served his country while in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Taunton Fish & Game Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially spending time with family and friends. Lawrence leaves his children Jeffrey Durham of Taunton , Kimberley Levesque of East Freetown and the late Jannell Kingsbury Durham and Jeannine Durham. He also leaves his eight siblings and his loving grandchildren Tamara Peters, Justin Kingsbury, Sarah Woodbury, Kyle Grundy, Jonathan Kingsbury and Zachary Grundy. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Services are private at the request of the family. The family would like to thank the Windsor Skilled Nursing Facility for their kind and compassionate care especially Linda Thompson and Betty Kowalcek.
