June Fredrickson age 88 passed away on February 23, 2016 at Life Care Centre in Plymouth. Born June 1,1927 in Orange New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Ralph G. and Gertrude 'Baker' Steele. Raised and educated in Weymouth. June worked for Shaws in Hanson for 34 years before retiring in 1997. After retiring she moved to Plymouth to Castle Ct. elderly housing where she was active writing for the community paper. She spent her summers at Peters Pond in Sandwich.
June was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward Fredrickson. Loving mother to June Nevens and her husband Dana, and the late Lorraine Correa. Cherished grandmother to Dana Jr. of Kingston, Erin Shea of Bridgewater,Nathan Nevens of Weymouth, and four great grandchildren. Devoted sister to the late Muriel Drysdale and Russell Steele.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hour for June from 1-2PM on Saturday March 5, 2016 at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2PM. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth.
