Obituary

Helen Rigsby Falotico, 98, of Tifton passed away Friday, February 26, 2016, at Cypress Pond Assisted Living in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 29, 2016, in the Memorial Chapel of Tifton’s First Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. John Curtis Falotico will give the eulogy. Mrs. Falotico will be laid to rest at 4:30 p.m. Monday, February 29, 2016, at Oak View Cemetery in Camilla. The family will receive friends Monday, February 29, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service in the Memorial Chapel of Tifton’s First Baptist Church.

John Curtis Falotico, Paul Wright, Joe Ball, Russ Wood, Zachary Butler and John Gray will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Cypress Pond Assisted Living and Maple Court Assisted living in Tifton, who became our extended family.

Born October 25, 1917 in Camilla, Helen was the daughter of the late Wiley Rigsby, who died when she was five years old) and the late Oscar Gaines Richards and Mattie Marshall Rigsby Richards. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony John “Tony” Falotico; daughter, Elizabeth Lynn Dishler and her husband Larry Dishler; son-in-law, Paul A. Wright, III; two brothers, Clarence Rigsby and Herman Rigsby; and a sister, Velma Rigsby. She was a homemaker and member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

Mrs. Falotico is survived by a daughter, Helen “Winkie” Wright of Tifton; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Becky Falotico of Tifton; her grandchildren and their spouses, Helen and Joe Ball of Tifton, Paul Wright of Atlanta, John Curtis and Hope Falotico, both of Thorsby, Alabama, Maria and Russ Wood, Anne Falotico, Jennifer and Jake Cavenaugh and Jason Dishler, all of Tifton; her great-grandchildren, Jordan and Carson Ball, Balen, Chandler and Tony Falotico, John, Michael and Charles Wood, Bella Falotico and Zachary Butler; a half-sister, Jeanine Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
