Margaret A. (Chin) Lee, age 92 of Brockton passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William S.L. Lee for 32 years. Margaret was born and raised in Boston, a daughter of the late Chin Chun Sau and Chin (Tow) See Sau and had lived in Brockton since 1961.
Margaret owned and operated the Cathay Manor with her husband for many years. She continued to work at the restaurant (now known as the Maui Restaurant) until the age of 90.
Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a gourmet chef and loved to host family gatherings. She will be remembered as a generous, loving and caring woman who was supportive to all.
Margaret was the mother of Victor Lee and Vernon Lee, both of Brockton, Velma Lee and her husband Robert O’Brien of Potomac, MD and Verna (Lee) Moy and her husband Peter of Brockton. She was also the mother of the late Vincent Lee and Vivien (Lee) Bossa. She was the grandmother of Kristina (Yee) Vitullo and her husband Joshua, Kristofer Chin, Kalvin Chin, Samantha Liang, Peyton Lee, Sydney Liang, Nicole Moy, Spencer Liang, Kiana Bossa and Natasia Moy; great grandmother of Zachary and Alexander Vitullo. She was the sister of Madeline Wong of Boston, the late Benny Chin, Alice Lee Wing, Lilly Tow, Henry Chin and Esther Tow. She also leaves 2 son-in-laws, Kenneth Bossa and John Chin, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog pal Daisy Moy.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton, Monday 3-8pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 10am.
