Obituary

Anthony M. Gallo passed away at home in the company of his loving family. He was 78. Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Antonietta (Verraso) Gallo. A Medford resident for many years, Tony enjoyed a 43 year career with Hewlett Packard Company. He also coached tennis in the summertime at Summer’s Edge Tennis School in Lexington. At Tufts University’s Cousens Gym, Tony was the Commissioner of the Squash and Racket Ball League, were he was also a top player. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was a good friend and neighbor to many.

The beloved husband of Phyllis (Sarno) Gallo, Tony was a devoted father to AnnMarie Gallo of Medford, Joseph Gallo and his wife Gina of Salem. He was a loving grandfather of Anthony and Michael Gallo. The dear brother of Anna Paradiso of Rockland the late Joseph Gallo and Mary Mead, he also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday from 4 thru 8 PM and again on Saturday, February 27th at 9 followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
