Christina DeWolfe was born on October 5, 1974 in Boston, MA to her parents, the late Susie DeWolfe and the late William Bridges. She grew up and moved from Boston to New Bedford happily in 2003 where she raised her children with her longtime companion, Tony Drayton.
Christina was a devoted mother who took her children everywhere she went. She loved walking and meeting new people. She also loved to visit thrifts stores, buy and watch DVD’s, play the lottery and enjoyed eating sweets.
Christina’s larger than life personality enriched the lives of her family and friends. When diagnosed with breast cancer she remained brave, iron willed and fought the illness with all her might.
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Christina DeWolfe died on February 19, 2016 in New Bedford, MA at the age of 41. She leaves behind her wonderful children, Justina, Jerrica, Antonio-Michael, Matthew, Daniqua, and Derrick. Christina is also survived by her siblings, Nicole, Alisha, Manny, Monica, William C.; and her aunts, uncles and hosts of cousins and other family members.
A memorial service will be held at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 105 Purchase Street, New Bedford, MA on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 4 PM, with a repast to immediately follow the service.
