Spillane, Catherine I. (Gillis) passed away peacefully, her loving family by her side on February 24, 2016. Born in Boston, Catherine was raised and educated in Quincy. She has been a resident of Norwell for 9 years. She was the beloved wife of the late James C. Spillane and devoted mother of Margaret Spillane of New Haven, CT, Teresa M. Burnett of Marshfield, Thomas J. Spillane of Belleair Bluffs, FL, David M. Spillane of Quincy, Brian F. Spillane of Norwell, Eileen S. Peduto of Warwick, RI and James C. Spillane of Pembroke. Sister of Mary E. Girard of Quincy and Margaret Kennedy of Stoughton and the late John Gillis and Theresa Hillier. Also survived by 17 loving grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, W. Quincy Saturday morning at 10:30. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave. Milton Friday 4 to 8.
