Obituary

Roland F. Caron, 55 formerly of Salem, died unexpectedly, Monday, February 22, 2016, following a brief illness. Born in Beverly and raised in Salem, he was the son of Vivian L. (Cotti) Caron and the late J. Roland Caron.

He was a graduate of St. John’s Prep, Class of ’78, and received his degree in accounting from Babson College in 1982 and his CPA in 1986. He began his career with Coppers and Lybrand, working for two years in their International Division in Bermuda. He went on to the Boston Company/Mellon Balk and then as a Managing Partner with Brown Brothers & Harriman in Boston. In recent years he worked for the Levesque Funeral Home of Salem.

Roland was a well liked and gracious gentleman, who was eager to volunteer for any worthwhile cause he believed in. He was a previous volunteer and board member of Care Dimensions (hospice) of Danvers and was currently a member of the Paul Madore Chorale. He also enjoyed skiing, golf and traveling.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Daniel J. Caron and his wife Susan Framingham, his sister, Rebecca ‘Becky’ Henrick and her husband Daniel of Danvers, two nephews, Matthew Caron of Marina Del Rey, CA and James Caron of Westfield, two nieces, Kristen Henrick of Dover, NH and Jennifer Henrick of Danvers. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother Thomas A. Caron.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave. Salem. There will be no visiting hours and burial will be private.
