Mary D. (Davis) Feid, 95, of Franklin died February 23. She was the wife of the late Lawrence C. Feid who died in 1988.
Born in Franklin, August 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Anne E. (Gilleney) Davis, Mrs. Feid was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mary was a 1938 graduate of Franklin High School.
Mrs. Feid had been a sewer for the Whiting & Davis Company in Plainville for many years. She had previously worked for several area hat shops.
Mary was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She had enjoyed traveling around the country with her family.
She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to music and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Mary always read the newspaper and enjoyed keeping up on current events.
Mother of the late Shirley A. Feid, she is survived by her niece Dartha Broderick of Dennis and her nephew Jay Broderick of Florida.
She was the sister of the late Gertrude Broderick
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 27, from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:`15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 3-5 p.m.
